One of our key operating principles is to choose the best fabric for each and every design.
We ensure they are responsibly sourced, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified and meet the highest criteria of quality and durability.
Our fabrics are chemical-free, woven throughout Italy by expert mills, where traditions and environmental knowledge are perfectly fused to bring timeless excellence to life.
The very first suggestion of linen manufacturing comes around 4,000,000 years ago in Egypt. Following the Roman Empire linen was considered the most prized fabric due to its cool and soft feeling. It represented a mark of wealth and social status.
Linen is a natural fabric coming from the cellulose fibres of the inner bark of the flax plant. It is the most eco-friendly fabric due to its low need for water, and zero requirement of chemicals and pesticides during the production process.
Soft feel, superior comfort and longevity are some of the properties of this exceptional fabric.
Durability > Its fibres are over 30% stronger than cotton which makes it a key factor for resiliency. It will become softer and stronger over time.
Absorbency > Linen can absorb up to 20% of its weight in moisture and easily releases it to the air to remain cool and dry to the touch.
Coolness > It is highly breathable and soft to the touch, which makes it perfect for warmer seasons.
Thanks to its rich texture and the ability to become even more beautiful with time, linen fits perfectly with the Azaleri core.
Velvet entered Italy around the 13th century from Venice - due to its continuous contacts with the East - and Palermo through Arab imports. Since then, it has become one of the most popular and luxurious fabrics, worn by most social classes to elevate their appearance.
Velvet can be made from natural and synthetic fibres. We chose to use 100% recycled polyester velvet thanks to its ability to gain the best from both worlds: softness and texture from the natural one; durability and breathability from the synthetic one. It has a beautiful drape and a unique soft and shiny appearance due to the characteristics of the short pile fibres.
Insulation > The polyester fibers keep you warm during colder periods and cool during warmer ones. At the same time it is highly breathable.
Adaptability > While appearing delicate and refined, it actually lends itself to any interpretation. You can transform its essence giving it any character you want to give to your looks.
If you are a traditions lover, Velvet Friulane are the one for you.
The very first proof of suede manufacturing is given by the Native American Indians, who used it for their garments, such as moccasins, trousers and the unique fringed jackets, which are deeply rooted in their culture. In modern times, suede was made popular again by Hippie communities in a version that today we would define as etno-chic.
Suede is a derivative of leather, with a luxurious handle similar to velvet, obtained by removing the first layer of the leather, called the grain. Entirely sourced and produced in Tuscany our suede is the best expression of Italian excellence. The tanneries we source from, recover a by-product of the other industries by saving it from disposal and giving it new life in a circular economy and zero waste perspective.
Suede is a noble material with luxurious properties:
Softness > Suede has a smooth appearance thanks to the underside, which separated from the top, creates thin, flowy, softer leather.
Comfort > This fabric is extremely adaptable and it moulds easily to your shape conferring an extraordinary feeling of comfort.
There’s no other material, like suede, that can work across such a breadth of different aesthetics and, whilst it can’t compete at the more formal ends of clothing, it handles everything from semi-formal, down to very casual.
