How do you incorporate your Italian identity into the various objects you create?
Italianity represents the harmonious fusion of style, ethics, beauty, and design. Personally, I find great joy in infusing these elements into every project I undertake. Occasionally, I incorporate touches of the flag's colors, as evidenced in my recent collaboration with Punto Ottico Humaneyes.

What is the moment that changed everything for you?
The pivotal encounter with Carlo Scarpa in 1972 unveiled an entirely new realm that captured my heart instantly, prompting a transformative shift in my direction at the age of 42.

An object you can never do without?
Among my portfolio, a project that holds a special place in my heart is the cutlery collection co-created in partnership with Carlo Scarpa. This collaboration not only catalyzed my career but also remains a cherished milestone. Simultaneously, my fervor lies in the next creation I will conceptualize.

A unique project was collaborating with renowned architects worldwide. What was the driving idea behind this brilliant journey?
Two significant figures profoundly influenced my creative journey: Carlo Scarpa and Ettore Sottsass, both cherished friends and sources of inspiration. Their wisdom and presence infused me with renewed energy and an unending stream of ideas, fueling my ceaseless creative pursuits.

You have explored a lot in your career. What is the common thread among all your works?
I follow my instincts in choosing my path. While aesthetics hold immense significance, when it comes to design, the crux lies in merging comfort and functionality. I consistently endeavor to marry beauty with utility.

What is the latest object you bought and loved from your travels?
During my travels, I prioritize seeking inspiration over acquiring material possessions. A memorable instance involves a transparent umbrella I procured in Turkey, upon which I imprinted my signature—a heartfelt gift for a dear friend.

If you had to describe Cleto with one word, what would it be and why?
